Scott's Piping

Solo Performances

Over the years, Scott has performed bagpipe solos at:

Featured Soloist

Scott has been the featured piping soloist with the Peoria Pops Orchestra twice (2022 & 2023) and with the Roscoe Middle School 6th-8th grade Concert Band (2023).

Solo Competitions

Scott competes in the Midwest Pipe Band Association's Grade 4 Senior division. He competes in 2/4 march, strathspey/reel, and piobaireachd events. 

Scott's Bands

Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums

Scott joined Celtic Cross Pipes and Drums in 2018 as a bass drummer and piping student in March of 2018. He has served as Pipe Major since June of 2021. Established in 1963 as the Peoria Pipe Band, Celtic Cross performs all over the Central Illinois area of Peoria and Bloomington-Normal. Performances include Honor Flights, parades, police/firefighter conferences and memorial services, community events, and Midwest Pipe Band Association competitions at the Grade 5 level.

Milwaukee Scottish Pipe Band

Scott joined Milwaukee Scottish in January of 2021. Formed in 1998, Milwaukee Scottish performs in parades and other community events in the Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area as well as Midwest Pipe Band Association competitions at the Grade 4 level.

Clan MacAlpine Pipes and Drums

Scott joined Clan MacAlpine in 2005 as a tenor/drummer. Formed in 1912 as the Clan MacAlpine Bagpipe Band of the Scottish Educational Society of Rockford (Illinois), they are now the 12th oldest pipe band still performing in the country. Clan MacAlpine has close ties with the Rockford Burns Club. The pipe band plays annually at their Burns Banquets celebrating Robert Burns birthday and the Tartan Day celebration in addition to other local parades and St. Patrick's Day events.

Pipes on Parade: The Massed Pipes and Drums

Scott sent in an audition video audition for Pipes on Parade and was accepted to perform with them at BandFest on Dec. 30th, 2023, Disneyland on Dec. 31st, 2023 and in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California on Jan. 1st, 2024. The group of over 100 musicians and dancers is made up of people from all over the US as well as Canada, the UK, and Australia.
